Biography
Carol Wilson-Duffy has degrees in Linguistics and TESOL from Michigan State University and teaches both ESL and IAH courses. Besides teaching at MSU for 24 years, Carol has also worked in the development of the ELC’s external special programs. During that time, she created programs for individuals and groups of students and teachers from Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Latin America and parts of Africa. Carol has years of ESL educational technology training experience in the U.S. and Korea, and by distance to remote areas in Micronesia. She has also been the web designer/editor for the journal Language Learning & Technology, Past President of Michigan’s Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages organization (MITESOL) and has served on TESOL’s Technology Advisory Board and Higher Ed SIG. Carol has served as the Interim Director of CeLTA’s Community Language School and is passionate about language teaching and using technology in motivating and creative ways!
