Alex Vlasov

Biography

Alex Vlasov is an artist who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting with a minor in Visual Culture from the Cleveland Institute of Art. His work has been shown in many galleries and even a museum. He titled his solo show “I Promise to Make a Fabulous PTG Tomorrow” at Massillon Museum, but five years later, he is still working on that fabulous one. Vlasov has also written articles, reviews, and interviewed famous people for various publications. In his writings, he often uses many pretentious words. The resulting feuilleton is “the stridency of design with a delinquent mimesis and a hebephrenic semblance of disintegration and destitution.” The artist has received several important fellowships and prizes, with the top honor being the Super Borrower Award for checking out more books than any other member of the Class of 2023 at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Vlasov needs to drink less coffee and play more tennis.
