				Alex Nichols is the Academic Technology Coordinator for the Department of Art, Art History, and Design, where he oversees instructional and art-related technology throughout the Kresge Art Center, including managing the Visual Resources and Print Lab. He also teaches photography courses now and then. He has an MFA in photography from the University of Hartford (Hartford, CT), an MS in library and information science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a BFA in studio art from Michigan State University. His work has been met with mixed reactions internationally, including exhibitions at the Cranbrook Art Museum (MI), the Camera Club of New York/BAXTER ST (NYC), the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, the Kominek Gallery (Berlin), the Blank Gallery (Tokyo), and the Encontros da Imagem Festival (Portugal). His handmade photobooks have been sold at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Printed Matter (NYC), Dashwood Books (NYC), and numerous art book fairs.
