Minjin Kim

Biography

Minjin Kim is an Assistant Professor of Korean and Applied Linguistics in the Department of Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures. She earned her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Pennsylvania State University. Her research focuses on corpus linguistics, second language acquisition, and language learning and technology, with particular attention to generative AI and computational approaches to language analysis. Her work has appeared in The Modern Language Journal, Journal of English for Academic Purposes, Language Teaching Research, and Language Learning & Technology. Her teaching spans Korean language and culture, English for Academic Purposes, and applied linguistics. At MSU, she serves as Director of the Korean Program and Co-Director of the Second Language Studies Corpus Lab.
