Biography
Heekyoung Kim majored in English Language and Literature at Sogang University and earned her M.A. in English education with a concentration in phonology at Seoul National University in Seoul, South Korea. She lived in Amherst, Massachusetts for her first half year in the U.S., received her Ph.D. in English as a Second Language Education at Texas A&M University after 5 years in Texas, then moved up to South Carolina for her first job at Clemson University in 2006, and finally joined as a testing specialist the testing office of ELC in 2009. Heekyoung’s professional interests include sociolinguistics, individual differences, and language testing in second language acquisition.
